Kaushal Nanavati has been appointed as VP of International Business at Shemaroo Entertainment. Nanavati will be responsible for driving the business in the international markets and scaling up the television and digital platforms. Before joining Shemaroo Entertainment, Nanavati was with Disney India as Director of International Distribution & Syndication. He has also worked with several other media companies including UTV, Zee Telefilms etc.
EMC Corporation recently appointed Srihari Palangala as its Director of Marketing for India operations. Palangala will be responsible for handling EMC’s marketing strategy and execution for sales and products and partnerships in India. Prior to EMC India, he worked with organizations such as VMLogix, Adobe India and Microsoft India. Along with Palangala, the company also appointed Rajeev Saxena as the new Director for Inside Sales, and Ripu Bajwa as the Country Manager for EMC’s Data Protection Suite (DPS) business in India.
Time Inc names Alwar Rajagopalan as India unit President
Time Inc has recently named Alwar Rajagopalan as the President of its India unit; he will oversee expansion of the company’s Bangalore operations, reports BusinessWire. Rajagopalan formerly worked with Tata Consultancy as their VP of Business Process Services. He has also held the post of Principal of Finance & Accounting (F&A) practices, for Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide. Additionally, he also held senior positions at IBM Global Services India, GE Capital International Services and GE Lighting India, among other international companies.
Industrybuying appoints Ravi Verma and Anuj Tiwari to its development board
B2B marketplace startup Industrybuying has recently appointed Ravi Verma as VP of marketing, and Anuj Tiwari as the business development head, reports Techcircle. Verma was previously part of Snapdeal’s marketing team. He has also headed digital marketing operations at Apollo Munich Health Insurance and has worked for several early stage e-commerce startups. Tiwari was previously the director at Honeywell Connected Homes in India. Industrybuying recently raised Rs 12 crore in a round of funding from Trifecta Capital.
E-commerce startup Kraftly that targets micro and individual seller communities in India, has appointed Akshay Ghulati as its Chief Business Officer. Prior to this, Ghulati was the Head of Trade-In at Amazon, UK, and previously worked in different roles in Amazon’s retail and marketplace businesses. Akshay also has prior experience with SMILE Group where he oversaw various portfolio companies. Preceding to his shift to digital commerce, Akshay worked as a management consultant with The Parthenon Group and A.T. Kearney.
