N.O.W bike taxi raises undisclosed amount of funding
Noida-based bike taxi app N.O.W has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from investment banking firm Maple Capital Advisors, reports TechCircle. It will use the funds to expand operations across multiple cities and strengthen its technology backbone. The company was founded by Vivek Pandey, Sushant Arora and Bharat Khandelwal and has permits to operate in nine cities including Noida.
Rare Media secures $1.1 million in funding from Info Edge
Mobility and cloud-based software developer Rare Media has secured $1.1 million in fresh funding from Info Edge India, reports TechCircle. The Delhi-based consumer internet company was founded by Sanjeev Bikhchandani and Siddhartha Gupta in 2012 and its field force tracking service Blue Dolphin is used for employee location tracking and timekeeping on 3G devices.
Mazkara raises $1 million in seed funding
Dubai-based beauty and wellness startup Mazkara has recently raised $1 million in seed funding from early-stage investor Dunamis Ventures, reports TechCircle. Mazkara had earlier raised $500,000 in angel funding from private investors based in Dubai and plans to utilize the new funds to expand across Abu Dhabi, Delhi and Mumbai, and ramp up its product team. Prasanjeet Roy and Mohammad Ali Akmal founded Mazkara in March 2015; it launched operations in Dubai in May 2015 and entered the Pune in August 2015. The company enables customers to discover local salons and spas.
Pindrop secures $100,000 from Green House Ventures
PindropMusic, a music discovery app that lets users discover music based on location and mood, has raised $100,000 from startup accelerator Green House Ventures, reports TechCircle. The Delhi-based startup was founded by Prankush Roopanwal, Sumit Chakraborty and Vishu Gupta in November 2014. The company claims that since inception, its app has been downloaded about 10,000 times and users have played 7,000 hours of music.
RoadGods raises $100,000 from Green House Ventures
Delhi-based RoadGods, a marketplace for automotive, travel and outdoor services, has raised raised $100,000 from startup accelerator Green House Ventures, reports TechCircle. Founded by Apoorv Mangalam and Ashish Kumar in 2014, the company designs road travel accessories and sells the products through its online platform. RoadGods’ product range includes helmets, car music systems, trekking rucksacks and motorcycle baggage, etc. It also functions as a marketplace for third-party gear. RoadGods claims to have a registered customer base of 4,200 clients.
