The top three telecom operators in India – Vodafone, Airtel and Idea Cellular – added 8.22 million active connections in November 2015, accounting for 65% of active connections, and 169% of total active added connections.
Their growth is outpacing the rest, as, together, they accounted for more active connections during the month (65%) than all the telecom operators combined, while some of the rest lost connections.
Reliance Communications (RCOM) lost 3.98 million active connections during the month. The operator still forms a significant part of the top four telecom operators, which together account for 77% of India’s active mobile connection base.
