Shemaroo’s new media biz accounted for 15.49% of total revenues in Q3 FY16

Bollywood content aggregation company Shemaroo has reported new media revenues of Rs 16.64 crore for the quarter ended December 30, 2015 (Q3 FY16). This is an increase of 68.3% year-on-year from Rs 9.89 crore form the same quarter last year. New media revenues grew 5.32% from Rs 15.8 crore from the preceding quarter. Shemaroo’s new media business represents 15.49% of the company’s total operational income which stood at Rs 101.38 crore. In the previous quarter, new media revenues were 16.90% of the the total revenues. Shemaroo's traditional media business grew 15.7% to Rs 84.74 crore from Rs 77.77 crore in the same period last year. On a sequential basis, traditional media grew 9.13 % from Rs 77.65 crore. Financials ‐ Total Income increased by 15.6% to Rs 101.3 crore from Rs 87.66 crore in Q3 FY2015 ‐ EBITDA increased by 32.9% to Rs 26.92 crore from Rs 21.19 crore in Q2 FY2015 ‐ EBITDA Margin stood at 26.6% in Q2 FY2016 ‐ Net Profit after tax increased by 27.9% to Rs 12.82 crore from Rs 10.02 crore in Q3 FY2015. New Media New Media revenues increased 68.3% year on year and 5.32% quarter-on-quarter, while revenue from traditional sources increased 15.7% year on year, and increased 9.13% quarter-on-quarter. Shemaroo has released this chart on its YouTube performance, though it’s only indicative and lacks granular data. It appears that Shemaroo almost hit 100 million monthly views on YouTube, according to this chart.
