FreeCharge partners with McDonald’s

Digital payments provider FreeCharge has partnered with Westlife Development Ltd, owner of the Master Franchisee of brand McDonald’s west and south India. Through the deal, McDonald’s has implemented FreeCharge wallet to enable customers to make swifter, safer payments. Customers can easily order both offline and online using FreeCharge wallet. Offline payment capabilities has been rolled out across 216 McDonald’s restaurants spread across 26 Cities in West & South regions. The service has gone live starting January 14, 2016 across all these restaurants.


ShopClues has launched an online furniture store

E-retailer ShopClues has launched an online furniture store on its platform. The company says it has 40,000 products across 60 categories. The furniture store will also include a Low Price Mart section which offers the best entry level pricing options on products available across the industry. Some of the merchants and brands ShopClues on the platform are @Home by Nilkamal, Usha Furniture, Nesta Furniture by CenturyPly, HomeTown, The Attic, Orka Bean Bags, Bluebell Ergonomics, Invogue, Dolphin Bean Bags.


SquareYards expands to Australia and Oman

Real estate Start-Up, Square Yards opened new offices in Sydney, Australia and Muscat, Oman to increase their international operations. With this the company has expanded its presence to 9 international cities, which includes London, Dubai, Doha, Abu-Dhabi, Singapore and Hong-Kong. The company added that it is looking to open shop in Toronto and Durban soon. Square Yards also said Australia and Oman will also be among the key points for the International Property Management (IPM) business of Square Yards.


Stylofie acquires personal care app Hyve

Stylofie, a beauty and wellness startup has acquired Hyve, a personal care app, reports NextBigWhat. The acquisition is a part-cash and part-equity deal wherein the business team of Hyve will be retained by Stylofie and the founding members of Hyve are looking to exit the business to pursue other interests.
