Nazara Games has hired Anuj Tandon as head of mobile game publishing and corporate branding. In his new role, Tandon will be responsible for managing B2B relations for the company, along with key marketing and product aspects. He will be based out of the company’s Mumbai office. Prior to Nazara, Tandon co founded RoloCule Games where he was the director for over 5 years. Here, he was responsible for product management, conceptualisation and marketing, as well as business development and game marketing. He also designed games and was the operations manager. Before this, Tandon was a solution designer and business analyst at Tech Mahindra. He also over 2 years of experience as a solution designer at Infosys. CEO appointment: In June, Nazara hired the former CEO of Reliance Games Manish Agarwal as chief executive officer, a week after he quit Reliance. He would work with Nazara’s founder Nitish Mittersain to strengthen the company’s partnerships with studios in India, Southeast Asia and Central Europe and secure global partnerships for IPs. Nazara Games: Last month, the company entered into a partnership with Moscow-based ZeptoLab, to publish its game Cut the Rope in the Indian subcontinent. In February, Nazara tied up with CSE to develop, distribute and market games around cricketer Virat Kohli for three years. It had also signed a deal with digital celebrity network Fluence to create games based on Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan in May last year.
