The top three telecom operators in India – Vodafone, Airtel and Idea Cellular – added 4.25 million active connections in August 2015, accounting for 64% of active connections, and 545% of total active added connections. Their growth is outpacing the rest, as, together, they accounted for more active connections during the month (64%) than all the telecom operators combined, while some of the rest lost connections. Reliance Communications (RCOM), lost 0.60 million active connections during the month. It still forms a significant part of the top four telecom operators, which together account for 76% of India’s active mobile connection base.
