Classifieds site Quikr has launched QuikrCars where users can search for and buy new and used cars, bikes and other vehicles like trucks by budget, last week. The vertical shows listings of sellers, popular cars near you, reviews and videos. The site is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. Quikr added that it saw enormous scale in its bikes and cars transactions and was hence launching QuikrCars. Quikr will launch its verticals in real estate, jobs and services over the next month. After raising $150 million from existing investors Tiger Global and AB Kinnevik and new investor Steadview Capital in April, the company had announced that it would use the funds to invest in its mobile business and strengthen its hold in categories like goods, cars, real estate, jobs and services. QuikrCars (a microsite) offers car inspection reports and a maximum sales price calculator along with localised car discovery in 1,000 cities and towns under Quikr. Other than this, it has a price comparison feature across car models and a price range as well. It has a trending cars module. Users can filter by car brand, model, fuel type and other filters like number of owners, year, posted by individual or dealer, colour, kilometres driven, locality, car type and old and used cars. There is also a checkbox for ‘Quikr inspected’ cars.
