JustRide raises undisclosed amount of funding from individual investors
Self drive car rental marketplace JustRide has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Alok Mittal, Niraj Singh, Nikunj Jain, Zishaan Hayath, Punit K Goyal, Anirudh Damani, Rohit Chokhan, and Palaash Ventures, reports YourStory. JustRide will use the funds for building technology, hiring and expansion to other cities. It currently operates in Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon and Bangalore. The YS report claims that the company has 700 customers and has generated over 1,200 transactions, with 30% of its customers opting for a feature where the cars are delivered to their homes or offices.
GREX raises $625,000 from multiple investors
GREX Alternative Investments Market, a platform which lists startups and unlisted companies to raise capital from private investors, has raised $625,000 in angel funding from Kunal Bajaj, Chandru Badrinarayanan and a group of unnamed private investors, reports VCCircle. It also lists Rimpal Chawla, Aruna Vaidyanathan, Rajeshwari Bhattacharyya and Reenu Singh as investors. GREX will use the funds to invest in IT and launch new financial products and features on the platform. The company claims that over 200 startups and 150 investors are registering on its platform and will go live next month.
Bona Vita raises $5 million from MakeMyTrip
Not yet public Bona Vita, founded by Amitabh Misra, ex CTO of Snapdeal, has raised $5 million in funding from online travel agency MakeMyTrip, reports VCCircle. The company will use the funds for building products in the travel industry.
LazyLad raises $500,000 from multiple investors
Mobile on demand delivery startup LazyLad has raised $500,000 in a pre Series A funding round from Jai Choi, founder and managing partner Tekton Ventures, Kiyohiro Sugashita from Sugashita Partners, and Japanese venture capitalist Hirokazu in their personal capacities, reports VCCircle. LazyLad will use the funding for geographical (including international) and category expansion and investing in backend technology. The app claims to list over 200 local florists, grocers, bakers and other items who fulfil 1,000 orders every day.
Cartisan raises undisclosed seed funding from YouWeCan and others
Automotive service marketplace Cartisan, which launched in June, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from YouWeCan Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Aprameya R among others, reports YourStory. The company will use the funds to expand beyond Bangalore, product development and add to its service providers network. It also plans to launch an iOS app, expanding from web and Android. The startup lets users service their vehicles and claims to have over 100 service providers currently.
Pragmatix raises $2.4 million from SIDBI VC
Mumbai based Intelligence and analytics startup Pragmatix Services has raised $2.4 million from SIDBI Venture Capital, reports VCCircle. It will use the funds to build data models, platform development and geographical expansion. It was founded by Alok Rastogi, Ashish Vora and Ramesh Lakshminarayanan in 2011. It provides business intelligence and analytics for customer retention, profitability, productivity and other features.
