Myntra appoints Ambarish Kenghe as SVP of products
Online fashion store Myntra has appointed Ambarish Kenghe as senior VP and head of products, reports Livemint. Kenghe will join the company this month end and report to CEO Mukesh Bansal. He will be responsible for product innovation for the company’s mobile products.
Kenghe previously co-founded and led the product management for Google Chromecast and has over 15 years of experience in product development and management. He was also a member of the Google TV team which built the first Android compatible TV. Before Google, Kenghe worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and as a technical leader at Cisco.
Flipkart appoints Eric Lange as VP of product management, customer experience
Flipkart has appointed Eric Lange as VP of product management of customer experience, reports TOI. Lange worked as the VP of product management for ads at Yahoo for 2 years. Before that, he founded Flicket.tv and also acted as its CEO for a year. Prior to that, he worked as a group product manager at Google for over 7 years and a product manager at Microsoft for a short duration of 4 months. Before Microsoft, Lange worked as a senior software engineer at Transmeta Corp for over 3 years, a staff software engineer at Creative Advanced Technology Center for 3.5 years, a software engineer at In-Flight Phone Corporation for over 3.5 years and as an embedded software engineer at US Robotics for about a year.
Last week, Flipkart’s chief technology officer Amod Malviya stepped down from active duty, while head of engineering Sameer Nigam quit the company. Mukesh Bansal, CEO of the commerce division had said that Nigam was moving from the company to start an entrepreneurial venture in the technology space and Malviya was moving to an advisory role. In April, Flipkart had appointed former senior director of engineering at Google Peeyush Ranjan as its head of engineering. Ranjan and Flipkart’s new chief product officer Punit Soni would report to Mukesh Bansal.
