Apple has reported Asia Pacific region revenues of $2.95 billion for the quarter ended July 2015, registering a modest 26% growth from $2.34 billion in the same quarter last year. Note that these revenues do not include Greater China (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) and Japan region. These are reported separately. The region accounted for 5.95% of Apple’s overall revenues at $49.6 billion for the quarter, up 33% year-on-year (YoY). In comparison, Asia Pacific had accounted for 6.25% of Apple’s revenues in the same quarter last year and had accounted for 7.2% of the company’s revenues in the previous quarter. Net profit: Apple’s overall net profit increased to $10.7 billion for the quarter, from $7.7 billion profit in the same quarter last year. International sales contributed for 64% of the company’s revenue, an increase from 60% in the corresponding quarter last year. iPhone sales up: Apple sold 47.53 million iPhones in the quarter, up 35% from 35.2 million iPhones in the same quarter last year. Overall, this segment reported revenues of $31.36 billion for the quarter, registering a 58.78% growth from $19.75 billion in the corresponding quarter last year. This revenue growth also led to an increase in the segment’s contribution to Apple’s overall revenues. iPhones sales now contribute for 63.22% of Apple’s total revenues, up from 56.3% in the previous quarter and 47% in the same quarter last year.
