OnMobile appoints Flipkart CFO as non-executive director
OnMobile has appointed Sanjay Baweja as an independent non executive additional director according to this BSE notification (pdf). Baweja presently serves as the CFO of Flipkart. Prior to this, Baweja was the Global CFO for Tata Communications for about 6 years and the CFO of Emaar MGF Land for 3.5 years. Before that, he was the CFO North at Bharti Airtel for 4 years. He worked as the associate director at Modi Xerox for around 13 years.
Reliance Entertainment appoints new CEO for Reliance Games
Reliance Entertainment has appointed Amit Khanduja as CEO of Reliance Games, reports Indiantelevision. Khanduja previously served as the COO of Reliance Games and will take over from ex-CEO Manish Agarwal starting this month. Previously, Khanduja worked as the global EVP head of Reliance Entertainment Digital for over 4 years where he was responsible for mobile, online and digital ventures businesses globally. Before this role, he was the EVP of global operations and solutions at Reliance BIG Entertainment (Jump Games) for over 3 years. He also worked as the MD for east NA and APAC at Tira Wireless for a year and at Sun Microsystems for 5 years as worldwide mobile business development and product management executive. Before Sun, Khanduja worked at HP for 3 years as the mobile e-services solution director and e-services marketing manager for a year.
Saffronart appoints CEO
Hugo Weihe has joined fine art, collectibles & auctions company Saffronart as its CEO. Weihe comes from auction house Christie’s, where he worked as at international director of Asian art. At Saffronart, Weihe will be responsible for the Mumbai, New Delhi, New York and London offices, where he will look to build markets for Indian art and antiquities globally. Weihe has a PhD in art history from the University of Zurich. He has worked as the publisher of journal Artibus Asiae in the 1990s. He joined Christie’s from Sotheby’s in 1998, where he established the department of Indian and Southeast Asian art ground up.
Samir Ganghar promoted at Leo Burnett
Samir Ganghar, who worked as the the executive director at ad company Leo Burnett, has been promoted to North India president, reports Mumbrella. Ganghar will lead Leo Group’s operations in North India in content, digital and experience and help in growing shopper, retail and e-commerce verticals. He will also build on the activation business. Before this, Ganghar worked as the VP and client services director at J Walter Thompson, popularly known as JWT for over 17 years.
