Divya Uttam appointed director of strategy at Razorfish
Razorfish has appointed Divya Uttam as director of strategy (digital), reports afaqs. In her new role, Uttam will be responsible for helping brands acquire fans, engage existing users and help brands design, build and use web tools and technology.
Prior to Razorfish, she was a part Cheil Worldwide as the senior planning director and currently has over 9 years of experience in building brands and other enterprises. She also worked as a digital strategist and account director – digital strategy at BBDO India and a social media analyst at 2020 Social. Some of the brands which she was responsible for include Samsung, Acica, DHL, Wrigley, Dell, Volkswagen and Nissan.
Razorfish has made various changes in its leaderships position this year including appointing Arnab Majumdar as its business development director last month and appointing Anushree Ghosh as director of strategic planning at its Mumbai office in January.
ZEEL appoints Piyush Sharma as CEO of new initiatives
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel) has hired Piyush Sharma as the CEO of new initiatives for India and Asia-Pacific, reports IndianTelevision. In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for new initiatives like showcasing programming and content across multiple media platform including web, mobile and on-demand video.
Prior to Zeel, Sharma was the CEO and publisher at EMM Burda International where he worked for 10 years. Here he was responsible for building brands like Better Homes, Gardens and Maxim, Sports Illustrated and Travel + Leisure. He also worked as the VP of marketing at Tehelka for 2 years from 2003-2005.
