Localbanya starts operations in Hyderabad

Online grocery store Localbanya has expanded to Hyderabad, after launching operations in Pune in February. The company now operates in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad, and plans to expand to other cities over the next few months. It had received a new round of funding from Shrem Strategies towards the end of 2014.

The company claims to have over 1 lakh registered users and conducts 1000 deliveries every day. Localbanya currently lists close to 14,000 products and offers deliveries up to 11:30 pm. The company claims that an average order size is Rs 1400.


GetMyPeon expands to Thane and Vashi

Mumbai based errand-running and same-day delivery service GetMyPeon has expanded its operations to Thane and Vashi. The company has also started accepting orders via WhatsApp and Twitter. Apparently, the company was conducting test runs in Thane and Vashi from the beginning of the year. GetMyPeon expects to expand to Pune and Bangalore as well, in the later part of this year, though no specific timeline has been mentioned.

The company offers same-day courier, food delivery, cheque pick-ups, and medicine and medical reports delivery among others. Complete list of services offered here. GetMyPeon operations are currently limited to the Churchgate-Bhayandar, Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) station to Thane, and CST to Vashi routes. It charges Rs 150 per errand for orders booked one day in advance, Rs 200 for same day tasks, and Rs 300 for tasks that need to completed within 2 hours. Monday to Staturday, the company operates between 9am and 8pm, and on Sundays between 10am and 7pm. More here.
