RailYatri now offers fog alerts to predict delays RailYatri has now come out with a a new feature on its application and will now provide fog alerts to help passengers manage their journeys better. The fog alerts feature will allow travellers to book journeys and checks the probability of getting delayed by fogs.The application also now has a GPS locator which tells the travellers their exact location, along with the estimated time of arrival at upcoming stations. Earlier in 2013, RailYatri had relaunched its Rail Radar application, and the new version seems to be independent and hosted at railradar.railyatri.in, but still uses railways data. The interface is a more map-centric one and focuses more on providing incident related information, powered by National RailYatri's alert service. It now offers a live tracker of relevant incidents and events like train cancellations, delays, change in train route, rush in trains, seat unavailability, accidents and others on a map. Indian Railways mobile app for complaints launched Indian Railways has launched a new application to provide customer complaint services on a mobile application called Coms. The application is designed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and has a centralized grievance redressal monitoring system and a mobile network messaging facility. The grievance redressal system also allows passengers to SMS their complaints on the mobile number. Complaints will be provided with a unique complaint ID number (and) complainants can use the unique ID number to track progress of complaints.
