Razorfish India appoints Arnab Majumdar as director of business development


Razorfish India has appointed Arnab Majumdar as its business development director, reports IndianTelevision. Majumdar, who is based in Mumbai, will be responsible for leading business acquisitions and establishing new business operations across India. He will also be a member of the business transformation advisory team, that partners new clients.

Majumdar has over 12 years of experience in the media industry across print, television and online channels. Prior to Razorfish, he served at companies like MTV and CNBC TV 18. Previously in January, Razorfish had appointed Anushree Ghosh as director of strategic planning at its Mumbai, responsible for leading strategy in key businesses for Razorfish India.

Sanjeev Kumar appointed as AGM of media planning at Intex

sanjeevkumarIntex Mobile has appointed Sanjeev Kumar as AGM of media planning, reports afaqs. In his new position he will be responsible for media responsibilities of all the mobile brands of the company.

Prior to Intex, Kumar was AGM of marketing at Usha International since 2010. He has over 19 years of experience and has worked with Dentsu Marcom for two years, handling buying for Honda cars and bikes, Jaypee Green, Canon and Martix Cellular among others. He also worked at GroupM for four years, where he worked with brands like NIIT, Yamaha, Samsung, MTR, Air Deccan, Britannia and Titan.

Lava hires Solomon Wheeler as VP and head of marketing and communication

solomonwheelerLava International has appointed Solomon Wheeler as its vice president and head of marketing and communication, reports afaqs. In his new role, Wheeler will lead all marketing and communication efforts for Lava in India and internationally.

In his previous role, Wheeler was the head of brand and marketing across India, SAARC and UAE for Spicejet, where he worked for five years. He also worked at Airtel as a part of its marketing team in Delhi. Overall Wheeler has over 14 years of experience in the industry, including his stints at Samsung, Coca-Cola and Dabur.

Quick Heal hires Meera Raman as marketing head

meeraramanIT security firm Quick Heal has appointed Meera Raman as its head of marketing, reports Techcircle. In her new role, Raman will be responsible for all marketing operations of Quick Heal’s business network.

Raman will replace Amit Satish Tyagi, who had joined Quick Heal as marketing head in just October last year. Overall, Raman has over 17 years of experience in marketing in various verticals. Before Quick Heal, she was the head of marketing at Tally Solutions, prior to which she was the associate VP of marketing at iViz Techno Solutions. She has also worked at Pinstorm, IMC Terminus, Microsoft, EXL Marketing and Candid marketing services.
