Event ticketing platform Townscript has raised an undisclosed amount of angel investment from a group of angel investors including, Mohit Garg of MindTickle, Mahesh Parasuraman MD - Carlyle Group, Nipam Shah founder of NRS Advisors, Dheeraj Vasisht Director - Ameretat Technologies, Sandeep Bhandarkar CEO - Ameretat Technologies, Hemal Patel CEO - Cyberoam Technologies and Lalit Singh of HP among others. Townscript will use the funds for expanding to other cities across the country and improve its interface. The platform provides event organizers a way to create an event registration/ticketing page and a mobile event app for all types of events. To create an event, organizers have to first register for an account or sign up using Facebook. Once signed in, a dashboard listing current and past events, organizer profiles and transactions is displayed. Here organizers can set up events in the events section. Organizers then get to choose from paid and free events, post which the event name, date and time, venue, city and type of event can be set. Organizers are also asked to name tickets, set the quantity of tickets and its price along with ticketing status, and are able to set up forms for attendees. Other than this organizers are able to upload images for their event. Townscript charges 5% of the ticketing value for domestic transactions and 7% of the value for international transactions, with no set up costs.
