Tata Sky has appointed Pallavi Puri as its new chief commercial officer and Malay Dikshit as chief communications officer. In her new role Puri will be responsible for commercial functions including subscription revenue management and VAS, while Dikshit will be responsible for brand communications including developing marketing and communication strategies both online and offline. Prior to Tata Sky, Pallavi Puri held various positions at Vodafone including being in charge of customer value management, VAS and prepaid. Before that she managed prepaid marketing at Hutchison Max Telecom for eight years and product marketing at Blow Plast Ltd for over two years. Overall Puri has over 17 years of experience in the industry. Dikshit previously was the marketing director for Diageo in Moet Hennessey Diageo for Malaysia and Singapore. He was also the head of marketing- portfolio whiskies at Diageo between 2012 and 2013, and also served as the marketing manager at the company for four years. He has also been associated with Reckitt Benckiser (sales) and Cadbury (ASM) in the past and overall has 15 years of experience in the industry, including 7 years in marketing and 6 years in commercial. Note that Vikram Mehra, the previous chief commercial officer at Tata Sky had joined Saregama India as its managing director in October last year, to fill the void left by the departure of Surya Mantha, who was previously with Omidiyar Networks. Mehra was with Tata Sky for around ten and a half years, having joined the company in April 2004.
