Pune-based advertising technology and analytics company Sokrati has raised an undisclosed amount in a series B round of funding led by IvyCap Ventures and participation from existing investor Inventus Capital. Sokrati co-founder Ashish Mehta said that they will be using the funds raised to expand its technology & big data engineering teams as well as increase its marketing efforts in India and the United States.
Sokrati had last raised funds in 2011, when it had raised an undisclosed amount of Series A investment from Inventus Capital.
Founded in 2009 by Mehta, Santosh Gannavarapu and Anubhav Sonthalia, Sokrati offers an automated marketing platform for search, display networks, mobile marketing, social and remarketing solutions. It targets merchants in e-commerce and travel segments. It also offers marketing solutions for local businesses and restaurants which includes website creation, map, local and social listings, online ads, email and SMS to existing customers, lead tracking and custom budget management among others.
Sokrati Live: The company also recently launched a realtime marketing & campaign monitoring solution called Sokrati Live that claims to offer intelligent bid suggestions to advertisers and allows them view their campaign spends in real time. Sokrati claims this solution works across AdWords, Facebook Ads & Bing.
Sokrati claims to currently have over 3,000 clients and drive more than 12 million monthly visits to advertisers, by managing more than 100 million active ads in real-time. It’s worth noting that Inventus is also an investor in the online behavioral retargeting company Vizury which raised $16 million in June last year.
Komli Media had also launched an integrated cross-channel CRM remarketing platform RevX in October last year, after having added a mobile retargeting platform to its Remarketing Demand Side Platform (RDSP) in May.
