Rajesh Kalra to become the Editorial Head for TOI Digital

Times Internet Chief Editor Rajesh Kalra has been promoted as the Editorial Head of TOI Digital, reports exchange4media.com. All editorial heads at TOI (English & regional language) will now report to Kalra. Times Internet has confirmed this move to Medianama but declined to comment further. The current Editorial Head of TOI Digital, Vinay Pandey will be taking up a new role with the Times of India print team, though it’s not clear what the new role exactly is. Kalra is currently in his third stint with the Times Group. He had earlier served at the Editor of Times Interactive in 1999, and had also worked as a journalist with The Times of India & Business Standard print editions. He had also served as the Assistant Editor at Cyber Media, Dataquest & PC Quest between 1987-1991. Vice President & Business Head at Times Internet Puneet Gupt has also been given a new role. He will now head TOI Digital’s regional language news business, including NavGujarat Samay, Nav Bharat Times, and Maharashtra Times among others. He’ll be responsible for improving the user-interface, user experience, the technology & overall product. Gupt had also been overseeing the operations of Go Cricket & Happy Trips till now.
