Paytm adds Kids and Automotive categories

Paytm-Logo-New-Approach-2013-9Online utility payments company Paytm has launched two new categories, Kids and Automotive, on its platform. The company had previously launched mobile phones and cameras as verticals, in May this year.

The automotive category includes various vehicle accessories, tool, helmets, audio etc., from over 250 sellers, for cars and bikes, while the kids category will host over 5000 styles of clothing from brands like Gini & Jony, Disney etc,including ethnic wear, caps, sweatshirts, innerwear, jackets dresses and other clothing. Other than these two categories, Paytm offers various products in electronics, footwear, fashion accessories, apparels and other categories.

Snapdeal.com appints Vishal Chadha as Vice President of Market Development

Snapdeal LogoOnline marketplace Snapdeal.com has appointed Vishal Chadha as its VP of Market Development. In his new position, Chadha will be responsible for signing up businesses and merchants on Snapdeal’s website, along with business development and seller marketing.

Previously, Chadha held key positions at Nokia UK, where he was the Global Director heading multi-brand retail marketing, Nokia India where he headed sales for its multimedia business group and retail and customer marketing, and at Britannia where he headed the sales of Western India. Prior to Snapdeal, he was an advisor at Samsung India mobile and IT business.

Cleartrip adds in-app rescheduling for domestic flights

CleartripCleartrip has updated its mobile apps to include in-app rescheduling for domestic flights. This will let customers reschedule part of their trip or whole, or for one passenger or all, from within its app.

Users simply have to choose alternate travel dates for the journey, and select passengers for whom they want to change the flights. The original booking stays intact for the rest of the journey and passengers. Once the part of they journey to be changed or the passenger is selected, fares for the revised dates are displayed minus the original booking amount. The selection can then be reviewed and can be paid for like a normal flight booking.

Walmart extends its B2B platform to Rajahmundry, AP

Walmart LogoWalmart India has extended its B2B e-commerce platform for members of its store in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, as a part of its expansion plans, reports Economic Times. The company had earlier launched this platform at Bestpricewholesale.co.in in July, for the registered members of Best Price Modern Wholesale stores in Hyderabad and Lucknow.

The website can now be also found at www.bestprice.in, and lists various products, including fruits and vegetables on display at brick and mortar Best Price Modern Wholesale stores. The company had opened similar stores in Guntur and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh two months ago.
