Online professional certification courses provider Simplilearn has appointed Gerald Jaideep as its new Chief Operating Officer. He will earlier working with the company as a consultant since September last year. Prior to this, he had co-founded a wellness based venture Colorshots that offered managed wellness solutions to enterprise customers. He was also the head of Indian operations for the technical learning company Element K that was later acquired by Skillsoft for $110 million in October 2011. He's also had stints at NIIT, Erehwon Innovation Consulting, Mentorware, Sify, Ducont and Logica. Early in September this year, Simplilearn had also appointed Prashant Radhakrishnan as its Chief Sales Officer while Quikr’s Gagan Singla had joined the company as its CMO in May this year. Launched in 2009, Simplilearn claims to currently offer more than 300+ certification courses in Project Management, Big Data and Analytics, Virtualization and Cloud, IT Service Management, Microsoft Certification, Quality Management, Financial Management and more. It had added certification and training programs for 51 Microsoft tech certifications in addition to seven bundled all-in-one Microsoft certification programs in September this year. In November last year, Simplilearn had also partnered online MOOC provider Udemy to offer its Project Management Professional (PMP) training courses to all Udemy users. The company had raised $10 million from Helion Venture Partners and existing investor Kalaari Capital in September last year.
