Customer care solutions provider B2X closed the acquisition of the front-end customer care company The Service Solutions (TSS), which currently counts Apple and various other US-based OEMs as its customers. B2X also raised $15 million in a Series B round of funding led by Earlybird Venture Capital. The company said it will use the funds to grow its engineering and sales efforts. With this acquisition, B2X will become one of the Apple Authorized Service Providers in India, and will also provide managed care services for other smartphone manufacturers in the country. Consequently, the company will rebrand TSS service stores to B2X Care Solutions and implement its own ‘smartbar’ model of customer service experience across these stores. Post acquisition, TSS will retain its existing management team and will continue expanding its business in India and the Middle East for B2X. TSS founder and MD Sreevathsa Prabhakar will serve as the MD of the new entity. B2X India will be headquartered in Mumbai with a subsidiary office in Dubai. Founded in 2009, TSS is a customer care company with a focus on consumer electronics and telecom sectors. The company provides strategic consulting services and audit services to its clients, and is an Apple authorised service provider and reseller. It currently sells Apple devices, accessories for Apple products, and Apple protection plans across its 19 service locations across the country, with a few under construction.
