Praveen Kumar KJ joins OnMobile Global as new CFO
Mobile VAS company OnMobile Global Ltd appointed Praveen Kumar KJ as its new chief financial officer (CFO), reports Techcircle. Kumar will replace Rajesh Kunnath who had resigned earlier in February, as the company’s fourth CFO the in the past three years. As a Chartered Accountant, Kumar has been working with the company since 2006, was part of the team that worked towards an IPO and held the post of vice-president of finance till the promotion. He has also worked with HP, GE Capital, MetLife India and A.F.Ferguson in different positions.
OnMobile had seen a couple of high profile resignations last month, as Barry B White resigned as OnMobile Global director with effect from August 14th while HH Haight resigned as OnMobile Global chairman and board director effective from August 20th. The company had also begun laying off employees in Bangalore in a bid to become profitable by the end of this financial year.
Hari Krishnan appointed MD of ZenithOptimedia India
Hari Krishnan has been appointed by ZenithOptimedia Group as the Managing director of ZenithOptimedia India, reports afaqs.com. Based in Gurgaon, he will be responsible for all of ZO’s operations across India.
Krishnan previously worked at Cheil as COO and was a part of its expansion from 135 to 480 people. He has an experience of over 22 years in advertising and has worked for agencies like Grey, JWT, Bates and Ogilvy across various product categories of diverse brands including PepsiCo, Nokia, Samsung and Vodafone. He had also led WPP’s Blue Hive project, working with separate teams from Mindshare, JWT and Wunderman Digital to create a co-located integrated setup for Ford in India.
ZenithOptimedia which currently lists Nestle, Micromax, OLX, LVMH Group, Uninor, Jabong, Yatra etc. among its clients in India also handles the digital portfolios of MaxBupa, ICICI Bank, Star India, Standard Chartered Bank etc., via Resultrix.
Premnath Unnikrishnan appointed south head of MEC India
Media and planning agency, MEC India has appointed Premnath Unnikrishnan as south head of digital, reports afaqs. Unnikrishnan will be based in Bangalore and will report directly to Vishal Chinchankar, the digital leader – India. He will be responsible for strategizing to implementing digital processes and digital technologies and enhancing client services. Previously, he worked at Interactive Avenues, where he managed the accounts of companies like World Vision, TTK, Wipro and ING Vysya Bank and has accumulated over 14 years of experience in the media world.
MEC is owned by WPP and currently lists Colgate, Britannia, FlipKart, Nivea, Citibank, Honda, Reliance Group, Zee Network and CavinKare among others as its clients in India.
