Accentium Web, the company that previously made Gaadi.com has launched another automobile website 99Cars.com. The timing of the launch is rather interesting. Previously Accentium Web had sold Gaadi.com to MIH Group, a subsidiary of the South African media group Naspers, perhaps the non compete agreement between them is now over. The website offers several features such as car comparison, car recommendation among many others. 99Cars.com platform gives each car a specification score, and evaluates them based on that score and price. Additionally, it explains to users what advantage does the car have over others. In addition, based on user’s preference and demand, 99Cars.com's ‘recommend me a car' option helps a consumer find a car for them. The company says that it is also offering cars images in every available color, helping users know how exactly it looks. 99Cars.com website is competing against CarDekho, CarSalesIndia, AutoIndia, Carwale, Carazoo, Times Internet’s Zigwheels among many others. CarDekho lets users buy and sell new as well as old cars. Its owner last year secured $15M from Sequoia Capital. Whereas Carwale, an online marketplace that lets users research and talk about cars was acquired by German media company Axel Springer and India Today group in 2010. Times Internet’s Zigwheels also sells used and new cars as well as acts as a platform where one can sell their car. 99Cars.com website is also a product of Accentium Web, the company that previously made Gaadi.com. It also runs matrimonial site SecondShaadi.com, and product and comparison website PriceBag.com. *Disclosure: 99Cars.com has been founded by Vivek Pahwa, who…
