Binay Tiwari, Director - Global Marketing & Product at the mobile ad exchange Vserv.mobi is leaving the company after a three year stint. It is not clear as to what Tiwari's next move will be, but it appears that he is planning on starting his own venture. Tiwari had joined Vserv in August 2011 as the general manager of Vserv marketplace. He was made the global marketing head in March 2012 and the director of global marketing & product in April last year. Before Vserv, Tiwari served a short seven month stint at InMobi as its global ad sales manager (Android). He's also worked at companies like Vodafone, Tata Communications Ltd, GE Capital International services and Mukunda Gems. Earlier in April, Vserv had added real-time bidding on its mobile ad exchange, providing advertisers with access to rich media inventory while enabling them to target and bid only for select audience segments. In March, the company had informed that it had created over 100 apps for 30 publishers in various languages, categories and for various operating systems in the last one year as part of an Appification program. It had also introduced a new ad format called SmartRewards in January, that enables advertisers to incentivize users by rewarding them with free mobile top-ups for specific actions. Last month, in an interview with Medianama Vserv founder and CEO Dippak Khurana had stated plans of introducing native advertising formats for apps and publishers in the news & information category in the current quarter.
