Sandeep Das has joined Ant Farm's* senior management team. At Ant Farm, Das will manage categories such as lifestyle, Classifieds and SME/SMB solutions, as well as a health and fitness platform called "Revolutionary Fitness" as COO. The company, founded by former Times Internet CEO Rishi Khiani runs fashion label Stylista.com, travel portal Arrive.com and native advertising business Fork Media, and so it appears that classifieds and fitness are two new segments that Ant Farm plans to enter. Prior to joining Ant Farm, Das was the COO and head of business for Burrp! and AskMe - two consumer-facing digital properties of Network 18, and has 20 years of experience in online and offline businesses. The classifieds and listings segment is rather crowded in India, with companies like Olx, Quikr, Click.in, and directory services such as JustDial and Getit Infomedia. In terms of lifestyle and restaurant listings services, there's Burrp, Times City and the Delhi-loving Zomato. The fitness segment has seen limited activity, with Vishal Gondal, Indiagames founder and former MD (Digital) of Disney-UTV, launching Goqii, a fitness tracker with services integrated. *Disclosure: Ant Farm is an advertiser with MediaNama.
