redBus CMO Lakshmikant Gupta moves to GirnarSoft

Lakshmikant Gupta, the Chief Marketing officer of the Naspers-owned bus ticketing portal redBus.in has quit the company, just about an year into his appointment, reports Afaqs.  He has now joined the Jaipur-based Girnar Software in the same position, where he will be in charge of marketing for both the company's B2B and B2C operations. Gupta had joined redBus in March last year, after serving as the Vice President and the Chief Marketing Officer of LG Electronics India for around five and half years. Before that, Gupta had worked at Procter & Gamble in various roles for 12 years. These include brand manager for Procter & Gamble’s oral care products and regional business manager for Gillette. He also had a nine year stint at the Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB), as its associate project director. Founded in 2007, Girnar Software currently owns portals like CarDekho, BikeDekho and PriceDekho. It also provides offshore products and outsourced software development services like enterprise mobility solutions, mobile apps development, e-commerce solutions, web development, testing and QA services among others. The company had raised $15 million from Sequoia Capital in November last year.
