KomliKomli Media is building on its Remarketing Demand Side Platform (RDSP) by launching a mobile retargeting platform.

The new platform will enable marketers and app developers to reach mobile device users with relevant ads. Mobile retargeting is a way for marketers to go back to consumers, whose previous interest over the Internet did not result in a sale or conversion. Personalised ads are displayed on consumers’ mobile devices to convert them into customers.

In February, Komli moved beyond the ‘ad network’ space by launching its remarketing Demand Side Platform (DSP), that digital marketers could use to target dormant visitors with personalized ads.

Komli has had its share of ups and downs recently. Komli CEO Prashant Mehta had quit the company in December 2013, after which Komli co-founder and chairman Amar Goel took over as the CEO.

Soon after RDSP was launched, Pritesh Patel, previously the Managing Director at Komli Media for India & Middle East announced his exit in February this year.

The company has raised around $97 million from investors including Peepul Capital, Norwest and Nexus Venture Partners.

Komli’s competitor InMobi recently launched a native ads platform, while Vserv announced it plans to add native advertising to its portfolio this quarter
