GoJavas introduces GoTrack to track shipments on Google Maps

GoJavasSupply chain solution provider GoJavas has introduced GoTrack, a tool that can track the location of a shipment on Google Maps. The tools displays the movement of the delivery vehicle, name of the delivery agent and the current status of their order.

The company has earlier introduced initiatives like, GoOpen – open-delivery, Go48 – 48 hours CoD remittance, GoFill – fulfillment services and GoRupiah – instant cash refund. GoJavas claims that this service is currently being implemented in a few cities and they plan to introduce this on a pan-India basis soon.

That said, this feature could be copied and implemented on a map-based interface by other logistics operators.

Gaana lets you watch video; working around licensing restrictions?

GaanaGaana.com has added a music videos from YouTube and lyrics to its new app and made a few design changes.

Songs that have music videos available are indicated with a grey camera icon. The lyrics feature is available on select songs and can be viewed by clicking a prominent ‘lyrics’ button.

What is interesting is that several songs that could otherwise not be played using the Gaana app due to restrictions in the licensing deal, can now be played on the app in the form of a video. We tried playing Baby Doll from the movie Ragini MMS 2, but the app said that the song was playable from the web only. However, we were able play the video for the song without any issue from the app. The only problem with this approach is that people who have subscribed to premium plans will not be able to cache these videos for later watch, unlike songs.

As part of the design overhaul, UI has also been modified and features such as favorites and downloads have been brought up front for easier access.
