Business Intelligence & Big Data solutions provider Saxon Global has acquired the Bangalore-based enterprise mobility solutions provider Wit Innovation for an undisclosed amount.

The company says this acquisition will allow them to offer better integrated IT solutions for customers in Big Data and Mobile apps segment. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The company had earlier acquired a big data and web intelligence solution firm Ideas Software and Consulting Pvt. Ltd (ISAC Global) in December 2013.

Founded in 2006 by Sachin Garg and Vibhor Gupta, Wit Innovation offers services like native mobile app & game development across several platforms like iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry & Windows Phone, cross platform app development through PhoneGap, HTML5 mobile site development and website development among others. It focuses on verticals like healthcare, media, hospitality, entertainment, finance, education & travel and had developed mobile apps like Trakart, Statified, CrowdSize and others.

Wit Innovation also offers onsite IT consulting services and claims to have clients across 16 countries. Some of its clients include HP, Simplilearn, VConnect, DabKick, Gourmet Society and others.

Other Acquisitions: In November 2013, Oracle had acquired Bitzer Mobile to address the security needs created by the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) movement.

In October 2013, NASDAQ-listed Pegasystems had acquired enterprise mobility solutions provider Antenna Software for an undisclosed amount. Global hosting and network solutions provider XBT Holdings had also acquired Hyderabad-based app development firm IBEE Solutions in January 2013.
