Map-based real estate portal Housing.com (previously, Housing.co.in) has introduced a map-based listing of real estate agents, called Agents Map, helping property seekers find a real estate agent in the locality that they’re looking for a house in, reports iamwire.
Users can search for agents in three ways – locality search gives results within a particular locality, sub-locality search lists agents within a specific area in a locality and landmark search provides results for agents around a landmark in a city. The website also has a feature for agents to register themselves on the platform.
The company’s website also suggests the launch of a new section called New Projects that would feature housing projects in different cities.
Founded in 2012, Housing.co.in is a location based rental property listing portal that provides listings from Mumbai, Bangalore, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Chennai and Faridabad. The website also has a mobile website, Android and iOS apps. It also has a Data Sciences Lab that provides data analytics on listing decay, visibility index, pricing based heat map for each city, among others.
In June 2013, the company had raised $2.5 million investment from Nexus Venture Partners. In March 2013, the company had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from former Network 18 Group CEO Haresh Chawla, and another undisclosed amount of angel investment led by Chaupaati Bazaar co-founder Zishaan Hayath was raised in February 2013. Interestingly, the company has a team of 12 founders.
