MobStac Launches HTML5stac Cloud Platform For Building Apps & Responsive Websites

mobstacMobile publishing company, MobStac has announced HTML5stac, a cloud platform targeting HTML5 and JavaScript developers and will help them build mobile apps and responsive websites in a day.

MobStac lists the following as the features of the new platform — javaScript both on the client & server-side, RESTful APIs for all data objects, live API console and data inspector, device-aware templating built on Handlebars.js. It uses libraries like Backbone.js, and the Bootstrap front-end framework, so to make it easier for developers to get started. The platform is still in beta, but you can check out the demo and request access via this form.

MobStac allows web publishers including blogs and websites to convert their desktop sites into mobile optimized websites and offers HTML5 ready mobile websites and touch site for tablets apart from plugging into all major mobile ad networks and analytic tools. It also lets publishers control all their mobile apps and websites through a unified dashboard. Currently, the company offers solutions to individual web publishers and enterprises. Its enterprise publisher clients include thehinduallafrica.com, while its individual web publisher clients include intomobile, and techtree, among others. In November 2011, the company had raised undisclosed amount of funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai Angels.

The company had also partnered with PubMatic, the digital media platform, to offer its service through PubMatic’s platform. With this partnership, MobStac’s services were offered through PubLink, PubMatic’s enterprise app marketplace for premium publishers.

In August 2012, MobStac had also partnered with Google to launch a new initiative called ‘Lets Talk Mo‘ to let businesses create a mobile site for free or test the user friendliness of their existing mobile site. It also offered to build a mobile site for users along with additional features like website themes, unlimited email support, custom ads, infinite pageviews for free, which would’ve normally costed $19/month or $190/year.
