MySmartPrice Adds Fashion & Lifestyle Section
Helion & Accel Partners backed online price comparison service MySmartPrice has released a fashion and lifestyle product discovery section at fashion.mysmartprice.com. This section was in limited beta for the past three months and claims to offer more than 2 lakh products across more than 1000 brands from 20 e-commerce stores including Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal, HomeShop18 and niche sellers like Bewakoof, FabFurnish and Happily Unmarried.
What’s different here is that the focus is not on price comparison but rather on product discovery, since it offer fashion related products. Users can also login with their Facebook credentials to add items to their own collections by clicking on the ‘WoW it’ button and browse through collections from other users.
CCAvenue Introduces BIN based promotions
CCAvenue*, payment gateway by Avenue India Pvt Ltd, has introduced ‘BIN based promotions’ which allows merchants to offer various promotional schemes like discounts, cashbacks and other deals based on the BIN (Bank Identification Number) of the card type provided by the associated bank.
BIN is an unique identification number which is associated with a particular bank and card type and appears at the start of the number code on the bank card. The company says this allows for customer segmentation so that businesses can target their preferred audience. For instance, an online travel agent can provide discounts to a specific traveller card holder like Citbank’s PremierMiles card while an online shopping portal can target a specific card type of a particular bank like HDFC Premium Cards.
Datawind To Preload CK12 educational content on tablets
The company had earlier tied-up with the online teaching community TES India to preload educational content on its tablets. Through this tie-up, it claimed to offer a library of 5 lakh teaching material across various courses such as Bachelor of Arts, B.Com, B. Ed, general awareness, CBSE content and others to users.
TaxiForSure-Royal Challengers Bangalore Tie-up
Blume Ventures backed online cab booking service TaxiForSure has signed an exclusive tie-up with The Royal Challengers Bangalore Corporate cricket championship to provide logistics services. As part of the tie-up, TaxiForSure will be offering transportation facilities for the entire tournament. The terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Karbonn to preload mydala mobile app
Handset maker Karbonn has partnered Info Edge backed deals service mydala to preload the mydala app on its recently launched Android smartphones including the A99, A18+, A16, Titanium S7 and Titanium X.
The deal period or the terms of the partnership were not disclosed but the company said that this app will allow users to browse through deals from restaurants, spas, fitness centres and activities near them. It claims to offer deals from over 100,000 merchants across 152 cities in the country. As part of the partnership, mydala will be offering the first deal free of cost to new Karbonn users.
KyaZoonga Andhra Cricket Association Tie-up
Andhra Cricket Association has appointed KyaZoonga as the official ticketing partner for the second ODI of the upcoming India vs. West Indies cricket tournament to be held on November 24, 2013.
Earlier, Kyazoonga had been appointed as the official ticketing partner for the final test of Sachin Tendulkar by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), however the site had crashed as the ticketing commenced. The company had claimed it had received 19 million hits within its first hour of ticket sales going live and sold out an inventory of 3,500 tickets in 15 hours.
Chumbak Introduces Facebook Stickers
SeedFund backed online-offline gifting venture Chumbak has introduced localized Facebook stickers called Chumbak Expressions. These stickers will be available for free on the sticker store in Facebook Messenger and Facebook apps for Android and iOS.
