MySmartPrice Adds Fashion & Lifestyle Section Helion & Accel Partners backed online price comparison service MySmartPrice has released a fashion and lifestyle product discovery section at fashion.mysmartprice.com. This section was in limited beta for the past three months and claims to offer more than 2 lakh products across more than 1000 brands from 20 e-commerce stores including Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal, HomeShop18 and niche sellers like Bewakoof, FabFurnish and Happily Unmarried. What's different here is that the focus is not on price comparison but rather on product discovery, since it offer fashion related products. Users can also login with their Facebook credentials to add items to their own collections by clicking on the 'WoW it' button and browse through collections from other users. CCAvenue Introduces BIN based promotions CCAvenue*, payment gateway by Avenue India Pvt Ltd, has introduced 'BIN based promotions' which allows merchants to offer various promotional schemes like discounts, cashbacks and other deals based on the BIN (Bank Identification Number) of the card type provided by the associated bank. BIN is an unique identification number which is associated with a particular bank and card type and appears at the start of the number code on the bank card. The company says this allows for customer segmentation so that businesses can target their preferred audience. For instance, an online travel agent can provide discounts to a specific traveller card holder like Citbank's PremierMiles card while an online shopping portal can target a specific card type of a particular bank like HDFC Premium Cards.
