Rajan Srinivasan has put in his papers just seven months after he was appointed CEO of IBNLive at Network18’s web business Web18. During eight month stint with Web18, Srinivasan held a variety of mandates – before being appointed CEO of IBNLive, he was head of sales and marketing at Web18, before which he was head of sales at moneycontrol. Srinivasan has eighteen years of experience in the media industry, including nine in the digital space. Prior to joining Network18 in 2003, he had stints with the Indian Express, Sony Entertainment Television and BBC World.
We’ll try and get an update on his next move.
This also comes a couple of months after Web18 had layoffs, wherein about 50-70 people were asked to leave the company. IBNLive, then, was among the least affected Web18 operations.
