Pegasystems said this acquisition will allow them to deliver better business solutions by combining Antenna Software’s mobile backend-as-a-service with its business process management solutions and also provide an improved mobile application and device management solution for its clients. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998, Antenna Software provides an enterprise mobile app development platform AMPchroma as a service for app developers to build and manage mobile apps. It currently offers a set of APIs & frameworks along with a hosted environment and development tools. The company says developers can make use of AMPchroma’s prepackaged services for faster app development, reuse components across different apps and deploy apps that run on any platform.
It also offers a drag and drop app publishing tool to publish web, hybrid and mobile apps and provides a web console for companies to monitor and manage apps remotely. Its clients include Canon, Dell, AT&T, Royal Bank Of Scotland, Toyota, Xerox and others. The company has an office in Bangalore and has 250 employees globally.
On the other hand, Pegasystems provides Business Process Management (BPM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions to companies. It also offers a cloud-based platform for developers as a service to build and test BPM apps and a mobile solution Pega Mobile which allow companies to port their BPM apps to iOS and Android platforms. Its clients include Comcast, Vodafone, Warner Bros and others.
