More Than 70% Of Ybrant Digital’s Revenue Is From Digital Marketing

The digital marketing business of Ybrant Digital reported a profit before tax of Rs 69.9 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2013, a significant improvement from Rs 42.84 crore profit in the same quarter last year and a turn around from Rs 89.3 crore loss in the previous quarter. However, its worth noting that the company had written off a part of goodwill and uncollectible account receivables across both segments (digital & software) in the previous quarter. This write off was included in other expenses for the quarter, which was at Rs 73.35 crore. The digital marketing business saw an increase in its revenues year on year to Rs 280.46 crore for the quarter, up 51.2% from Rs 185.48 crore revenues in the same quarter last year and up 36.5% from Rs 205.5 crore in the previous quarter. Digital marketing contributed for 70.05% of Ybrant Digital's consolidated revenues for the quarter, significantly up from 48.77% in the same quarter last year and 55.24% in the previous quarter. Software Development Business Declines: The company's software development business reported a profit before tax of Rs 12.07 crore for the quarter, a significant decline from Rs 35.03 crore profit in the same quarter last year but an improvement from Rs 49.39 crore loss in the previous quarter. The segment also recorded a significant decline in its revenues year on year to Rs 119.91 crore for the quarter, down 38.45% from Rs 194.81 crore revenues in the same quarter last year and down 32.07% from Rs 176.53 crore revenues in the previous…
