Industry Moves: CA Media, IMImobile, Flipkart

CA Media LP, the Asian investment arm of The Chernin Group, LLC (TCG) has appointed Rishi Negi as Executive Vice President (EVP), Investee Operations. Negi will report to Rajesh Kamat, Chief Executive Officer of CA Media, India. Prior to joining CA Media, Negi worked at Reliance Retail as Business Head QSR. He has also worked at Fame India Ltd as chief operating officer, Big Picture Hospitality Services as CEO, Pizza Hut as COO, Indian Hotels Company Ltd as E.A.M. Food and Beverage Taj Coromandel, among others. **** Ashish Misra, Senior Vice President -Asia Pacific IMImobile has put down his papers. He had joined IMImobile in 2001 and was responsible for building company's revenues in India. During his 12 year stint at IMImobile he held various positions including Regional Manager - Sales. It's unclear where Misra will be headed next. Prior to joining IMImobile, Misra worked at Webcentric Technolgies India Pvt Ltd as Business Development Manager. **** About seven mid-management executives have left Flipkart, reports Livemint. These include Rajesh Choudhary, Vice-President, Finance; Aswin Chandrasekaran, head of Flipkart’s books business; Ashok Banerjee, Vice-President, Engineering have resigned from the company. Besides them, Rohit Jalan, senior software automation engineer; Prasanna V., engineering manager of information technology (IT) infrastructure; Gaurav Lochan, engineering manager of digital; and Marcus Terry, director, seller operations; have also resigned. The publication has confirmed five of the total seven resignations. The resignations come in time when the company is making a shift from inventory based model to a marketplace model.
