Online bus booking portal redBus.in has inked a tie-up with the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to sell KSRTC bus tickets on its portal. While the deal period or the financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, redBus informed that this partnership will allow redBus customers to book bus tickets across all luxury buses operated by KSRTC which includes Airavat and Rajahamsa among others at no additional booking charges. With this partnership, the company claims that it now has complete access to both state owned and private bus operators in Karnataka. redBus claims that KSRTC currently operates 2,700 buses across Karnataka, which includes Airconditioned Volvo buses like Airavat, Airavat Bliss, Airavat Superia, Mercedes-Benz Class, Volvo Club Class and Volvo Gold Class and non-Volvo buses like Rajahamsa Executive Bus, Corona AMBAARI and Corona AMBAARI Sleeper bus. Other Partnerships: redBus had inked a similar tie up with Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) in July 2012. It also has partnerships with Goa State Road Transport and Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC). In August 2012, online travel agent Expedia India had partnered with redBus to offer bus ticket booking service on its portal. Through this partnership, Expedia had informed that it will get access to bus seat inventory across more than 180,000 bus services operated by 900 operators across the country, while redBus will power the bus ticketing functionality on the portal. In February 2013, redBus had partnered with YourBus and Asset Tracker to offer live bus tracking on its portal.
