Ajay Chacko has been appointed the COO of the Network18 group. Chacko has been with the group for over 9 years and is presently President of A+E Networks I TV18, the joint venture between A+E Networks, US and TV18. He will continue to hold responsibility for the venture, and also, according to Network18, "be responsible for creation and management of network-wide properties and institutionalize processes and models", and be "the custodian of 'Brand Network18'". In his earlier roles at Network18, Chacko has led many of the group's businesses such as CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz and Forbes India, and been responsible for HistoryTV18. Prior to joining Network18, he worked in financial services and media for over a decade, with IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, India), Sharekhan and the Indian Express Group. * Pratik Mazumder has joined Times Internet* as VP-Marketing, reports Exchange4media.com. Mazumdar was previously the CMO and head of Strategic Alliances at online Travel Agent Yatra for arould three and a half years, before which he ran his own brand consultancy firm, Trojan Horse. Prior to that, as per his LinkedIn profile, he was Head Brand & Media Communication (Mobility) for Bharti Airtel Limited for around six years. He has also worked with agencies like OgilvyOne and Exterprise Nexus Direct. The head of marketing position at TIL had been vacant since Sandeep Amar left the company last year. He has since started up, launching Pikboo.com.
