Dave McClure’s 500 Startups has announced the Spring 2013 batch of its Accelerator Program. The accelerator mentioned that this is the sixth batch overall and includes about five startups from India, the highest among other countries besides USA. It also noted that around 20 companies are from outside the United States and accounted for two-thirds of the entire batch.
What does the program offer: The accelerator program provides up to
$250K investment, mentors & designers in residence, platform-specific strategies for customer acquisition and a creative workspace, among others. Update: The accelerator provides seed investment of up to $50K for startups selected in the accelerator program. Besides this, it also invests of an average $250K if 500 Startups as a fund participates in a seed stage investment.

Credii: Credii helps businesses to find the right software for them by organizing softwares in a single place. Credii features an intelligent Q&A interface to find out what businesses need and then recommends solutions. Credii was founded by Vamshi Mokshagundam and Ayan Barua and is headquartered in Bangalore, India.
PriceBaba: PriceBaba is a a location based price search engine that gives the best bargain price of products from offline retailers. The service is currently available in 6 cities including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, and Delhi. In January 2013, PriceBaba had raised an undisclosed amount of seed investment from five investors, led by Pune based angel investor and entrepreneur Karamveer Singh. Other investors include Dinesh Tejwani of Fast Fact Computer Systems (acquired by Thomson Reuters), Aditya Mishra (Founder & CEO, SwitchMe.in), Ashutosh Rathi (Basil Partners) and Ranjeet Walunj of The Service Solutions.
School Admissions: School Admissions is an online platform that helps parents to manage the various steps of school admissions process through its control panel. It also provides networking with other parents. Presently, the service is live in Delhi NCR.
Tushky: Tushky is an online activity marketplace where businesses/individuals can offer their services to provide fun activities in or around a city. The company currently offers experiences in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. In September 2012, it had raised Rs 35 lakh as an angel investment from undisclosed investors. Tushky was also a part of GSF Accelerator’s inaugural batch.
Seat 14A: Seat 14A provides new menswear ensemble every week. It works like an email newsletter where one can subscribe for new ensemble. Seat 14A directly works with designers, domestic and international, and manufacturers removing the middle man. It is headquartered in Delhi and was founded by Jas Banwait, Adi Sahay, Nav Chatterji, and Tarun Arora.
