The Cellular Operators Association of India (which includes most of India’s GSM telecom operators), has reported an addition of 5.35 million GSM connections in March 2013, closing in at 660.9 million, an increase of 0.82% from 655.5 million subscribers in the previous month. Also note that the COAI has not included subscriber numbers for S Tel and Etisalat DB. GSM operator and circle-wise data (excluding Reliance and Tata): - Vodafone added 2.46 million in March, taking its connection base to 152.35 million. - Idea Cellular added 2.34 million in March, taking its connection base to 121.60 million. - Bharti Airtel added 1.57 million connections, taking its connection base to 188.19 million. - Aircel lost 0.80 million connections in March, taking its connection base to 60.07 million.
