JWT India Appoints Mohit Hira As Head Digital of Operations

Updated: JWT India has appointed Mohit Hira as Head of its digital operations, reports Afaqs. Hira will be responsible for managing JWT's digital offering to clients, in addition to his current responsibilities with Airtel, as indicated by the report. Hira will be replacing Max Hegerman, digital head at JWT India. According to the report, Hegerman has decided to move on from the company. Note that Hira had joined JWT India in December 2012 as senior vice president and regional business director, looking primarily at the Airtel account, which means he's been promoted to Head JWT India's digital operations just five months after joining the firm. Prior to joining JWT, Hira was with NIIT, initially as President of e-Learning, and then as CMO for Career Building Solutions. Prior to that, he was with Times Internet Ltd*, heading Marketing. He has  also been the Brand Head for Times Foundation, Navbharat Times and The Economic Times, Delhi, as well as its Resident Editor for ET. In last couple of months, JWT India has seen couple of high profile exits. Bobby Pawar, JWT India's chief creative officer and Vijay SimhaVellanki, creative director at Blue Hive, a WPP unit dedicated to managing the Ford business were asked to resign after the Ford's advertising fiasco.
