Komli Media Makes New Senior Level Appointments

Komli Media, the online advertising network and media technology company, has appointed Apurva Dalal as VP Engineering and head of engineering, Rahul Bhargava as VP and head of products and Ashwin Puri as VP and head of global business development.

The company informed that Dalal will be responsible for building and scaling the company’s technology platforms, Bhargava will look after platforms including display, mobile, social and video interfaces and Puri will be responsible for company’s global business development and strategic alliances group.

Prior to joining Komli Media, Dalal previously worked with Google, eBay and WebMD/Healtheon. At his most recent job at Google, Dalal established the enterprise cloud computing R&D center at Google Hyderabad. Rahul Bhargava worked at American Express as VP/GM of digital payments  before joining Komli Media. Prior to that, he led the global merchant solutions team at PayPal. Ashwin Puri has previously held business development roles at Sprint, VeriSign and Vuclip.

Komli Media recently raised $39 million (Rs 214 crore). The financing round was led by Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) and its existing investors including Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and a new investor Western Technology Investment participated in the fund raising. Komli appears to have raised almost $67 million (including initial investment for Pubmatic, which it hived off), and has acquired 5 companies.
