Bhaskar Das, who resigned from Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL), has joined Essel Group as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reports Indiantelevision.com. He will be responsible for digital and news business, which includes Zee News Ltd and india.com web portal, which is a joint venture between Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) and PMC, a US-based digital media company. Das will be based out of Mumbai and has joined the company on October 22, 2012. Bhaskar Das had joined The Times of India Group in 1980 as a management trainee, thus completing 32 years at the company. At the The Times Of India Group, Das joined as a management trainee and was made head of the Response department in Ahmedabad. In 1986, he took over as a sales head of the Eastern Region in Kolkata. In 1990, Das was appointed as the profit centre head of Gujarat and took over as director of the western zone of Response (ad sales) in 1995. BCCL named Das as the executive president of BCCL in 2005. **** Shivam Srivastava has joined Vdopia as Director Business Development - APAC operations. At Vdopia, Srivastava will be responsible to align the company's product portfolio in sync with clients requirement.
