Vserv.mobi, a mobile ad network for app developers, publishers and advertisers, has appointed three senior executives in its global team.
The company has appointed Rohit Verma as the Vice President – India and Middle East. Prior to joining Vserv.mobi, Verma worked with Times Internet Limited at various positions including Senior General Manager – Business and Mobile Music Content Acquisition, Assistant Vice President, and Assistant Vice President – Business Development – Operator, D2C, OEM & Mobile Content Acquisition. He has also worked with Airtel, Lowe Lintas and ACL Wireless.
The company has also appointed Elliot Renton as GM, Publisher Alliances, South East Asia. Renton will be based in Singapore and report to Vikas Gulati, Vice President-South East Asia. Prior to Vserv, he worked for Nokia where he managed brand partnerships across the APAC mobile app ecosystem. He has also worked with with Getty Images and Thomson Reuters in Asia.
Vserv.mobi has appointed Narayan Murthy Ivaturi as the General Manager – Sales Strategy at Vserv. He will be based in Mumbai. He has previously worked with Yahoo, Tyroo Media and most recently at Times Internet.
GroupM Asia Pacific has announced that CVL Srinivas (” Srini”) will join GroupM early in 2013 to succeed Vikram Sakhuja as GroupM South Asia CEO with responsibility for all GroupM operations in India, Pakistan, Srl Lanka and Bangladesh. Srini will report to Mark Patterson AP CEO GroupM. He will also join the GroupM Asia Pacific executive committee.
According to this LinkedIn profile, Srini currently works as Managing Director at LiquidThread (Asia-Pacific) & as Chairman Starcom MediaVest Group (India) at Starcom MediaVest Group. He has previously worked with GroupM, where he was with Maxus as India head from 2003 to 2006. He was also the first Maxus Asia Pacific head in 2006.
Vikram Sakhjua, former GroupM Asia CEO has recently been announced as WW CEO for Maxus and will remain based in Mumbai.
VML Qais, the digital agency owned by WPP, has expanded its operations to Delhi and has appointed Natasha Kapur as Business Director of the company.
Prior to joining VML Qais, Kapur worked as senior manager – strategy & communications at Sony Mobile. She has also worked with Ogilvy Worldwide as a Director – Business Head, and at The Times of India as a Senior Officer-Results & Market Development.
VML Qais recently launched operations in India with its first office in Mumbai. The agency has been handling clients like Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Revlon, and Tata Motors.
