Industry Moves: Dhingana, Tata Communications

Online music service, Dhingana, has appointed Ashish Joshi as Vice President, Business Development at the company. Prior to joining Dhingana, Ashish Joshi served at Universal Music India as Head of Digital and Business Development (India and SAARC). Prior to that, he worked as General Manager at Hungama Digital Media Entertainment for a period of about three years.

Dhingana is a social music streaming service that allows users to discover and play Bollywood and Indian music. The company claims that its music platform is accessed by millions of users across 220+ countries/territories every month and that it has a collection of over 500,000 songs across 35 different genres. Users can access the app across different devices and platforms like iPhone / iPad / iPod, Android, BlackBerry and Nokia based devices, as well as their PCs and laptops.


 Tata Communications has announced the appointment of Rangu Salgame as the Chief Executive Officer of Growth Ventures. He will join Tata Communications’ Global Management Council and will lead the company’s  portfolio that includes data center, cloud, cyber security, media and entertainment.

Prior to joining Tata Communications, Salgame has worked with companies such as Cisco Systems, Verizon Communications and PwC.
