The report states that brands can use this solution to build and operate an online e-commerce store or integrate an existing store with real time inventory information from multiple warehouses and a multi-mode payment gateway, among other capabilities.
What does this solution offer?
According to the company website, Digitas offers solutions which will allow brands to build their e-commerce store. The company claims that these solutions are customizable as per the brand’s preferences and fulfillment needs. Digitas says that it will also provide analytics and campaign management solutions to brands, and help them develop marketing campaigns including referral marketing campaigns and social deals.
Digitas also claimed to have partnered with several logistics players to offer logistics based solutions to brands including reverse logistics (for returns), warehouse management, returns management, warehouse information systems and customer support help desks. We believe that Digitas will be able to leverage its digital marketing offerings with this solution.
Other players: Infibeam offers a self-service e-commerce backend platform called BuildaBazaar, which allows businesses to create their own web stores, upload their own product catalog, organize their merchandise, make their own PG (payment gateway) integration, track orders and sell it on Infibeam.com and Infibeam Affiliate stores in addition to their own private stores.
The company had also extended the platform to travel segment in July 2012, allowing travel agents to setup their own travel e-commerce stores to sell in-house local travel inventory or access travel inventory from various travel industry partners including flights, hotels and buses and earn commission for each booking made on their site.
As of August 2012, Infibeam claimed that more than 15,000 merchants had setup a shop on the BuildaBazaar platform. This includes the recently launched Airtel Shop and prominent offline retailers like The Mobile Store, Crossword, Hidesign, and Vijay Sales among others.
MartJack also offers a multi channel retailing solution to retailers, manufacturers and other businesses to build and manage their web stores easily. It had recently launched integrated solutions for sellers to list on Amazon’s Junglee.com and had claimed that this solution is used by more than 2000 online stores across India, US and the UK, including Videocon, Next Retail, Gitanjali Group, Olive Telecom, BaseCamp among others.
Besides this, there is also Amadeus India which offers e-commerce solutions and a travel e-commerce platform and Bigraja which offers an E-Commerce & shopping cart software and branded online store fronts.
