State run telecom service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited(MTNL) has posted total revenues of Rs 833 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2012 (Q1-FY13), recording a 2.61% dip from Rs 843 crores in the previous quarter and 0.02% growth from Rs 813.1 crores in the corresponding quarter in the fiscal 2012. Net loss for MTNL stood for Q1-FY13 stood at Rs 1058 crore, a 22.91% decline from Rs 1374.4 crore loss in Q4 2012 and 24.62% increase from Rs 849 crore loss in the corresponding quarter last year (Q1-FY12). MTNL’s income from basic services during Q1 2013 was Rs 653.3 crore, a decline from Rs 667.8 crore in the previous quarter but growth compared to Rs 645.3 crore in the corresponding quarter, last year. The company incurred a loss of Rs 599.3 crore from basic service operations, an increase from Rs 526.4 crore loss in the corresponding quarter last year. - MTNL’s cellular services generated revenues of Rs 183.3 crore during Q1 2013, a decline from Rs 180.6 crore in the previous quarter but growth from Rs 175.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
