Mobile TV service provider, Zenga TV, has appointed Abhishek Joshi, as the company's new CEO. He will be responsible for identifying and developing new revenue channels for the ZengaTV platforms, for reaching out to different advertisers, and for the company's overall growth. Following Joshi's appointment, Shabir Momin, the erstwhile CEO of the company, has been promoted as Managing Director & Chief Technical Officer of the company. Joshi was previously with Sony Entertainment Television, where he was Assistant Vice President, Marketing, being part of the team responsible for show campaigns and format brands such as Indian Idol 6, IPL, Kaun Banega Crorepati 5(KBC), X factor and other fiction based shows. Prior to that, he served as Senior Manager, On air presentation, Research and Stratehy at Sony's sports, events and movies network, MAX. He's also had a stint with Reliance Big Pictures. Zenga claims to have registered 65 million video views, month on month across different channels. Its mobile tv platform offers more than 100 TV channels and more than 10,000 Movies. ZengaTV's service is operator agnostic and can be accessed through any mobile operators as well as on the web, free of charge. Although the company does not monetise via user subscription, it does have tie-ups for events, and had signed a deal with Indiagames for ondeck telco deployments.
